PROPAGANDA ROOM

Norsk Teknisk Museum, Oslo . Jan.-Jun. 2015. School Project. NTA. Co- designer Museum Exhibition. Tasks: Co Design, technical drawings, construction details. Logistics of production. PART OF THE MASTER SCHOOL PROGRAM.

Workshop from NTA, which consisted in the development of an Exhibition space at the Norsk Teknisk Museum. March 2015.

Dealing with the concept of propaganda, and inspired by the Speer's Light Cathedral, I developed an initial idea of dividing the room in 2 different spaces by lighted columns. This to extent the censorial dimensions of the room, as well as to create different spaces related to the division of the narrative. This idea was joint with the ideas of other collaborator, the glass walls(Jan Hustak) are an example of this.

As a continuation of the project I was given the task of designing the wall on the right room, which we call Wall B. The curators had an extensive research, that also will change as the research expands, it was part of the task to create a design that will allowed the curators and researches to add and remove pieces of the narrative. So I developed a proposal inspired by scale and repetition, a recurrent topic in propaganda. The wall consist in a modular design in which all the pieces can be taken out and in, and where the scale and the repetition of the narrative elements, creates a rhythm in the lecture of the research. The light concept was developed by Jan Hustak.
