EXPOSED
Exhibition at the Cultural Center, Østfold kunstsenter, Fredrikstad. Sept. 2016(in construction)Tasks: Design of art installation. To be build in January 2017
This project consist in a space that is build with layers of cardboard, all stuck together, forming walls with a very particular texture, that has the ability to create a visual effect, in which the farther away you are from the cardboard walls, the more you get to see what is inside, and the closest you get to the cardboard wall, the less you can see. The range of visual clarity gets minimized by the texture game. I am aiming to create a small long room, in which the visitor can get inside and relax for a while, in a very comfortable and safe place. Because of the proportion of the space, those who are inside don´t get to stand farther enough from the walls and the material, to see who is outside, on the other hand those outside get to see who is inside and what they are doing, but only when being far from it. I want to explore privacy, exposure, comfort and paranoia, in a space that allows the concept of social media to appears.
