Desertation paper for the title of Ba in Architecture, University of Costa Rica.

The project consist in the observation and analysis of 6 commercial theaters that have established in buildings that were not design as theaters, in the center of San Jose city, Costa Rica.

 

To understand their way they way of working, the difficulties and their opportunities. As well as accentuated their importance in the urban life.

​

A participative project, in which 4 mini workshops were held with the 6 theaters to understand their preferences and their needs. 

​

The project concluded in a large scale architectural intervention, that joints the 6 theaters along with variable amount of activities, that aims to create a robust, sustainable and multidisciplinary project.

The dissertation was written in Spanish, but is in the process of translation.
